Mosaic Studios

In 2020, Stein Retzlaff and Matt Hardy co-founded Mosaic Studios with a vision to transform how content is created for adventure tourism around the world. Stein’s first project in luxury travel was in 2017 and again in 2020 when he connected with the CEO of EYOS Expeditions to brainstorm the next phase of travel experiences.

Stein and Matt’s journey as business partners began when they first worked together in 2019 on a film project in Antarctica, where Stein served as Executive Producer and Matt as Director of Photography of a short film about skiing the frozen continent. Both born and raised in Lake Tahoe, California, Stein and Matt were no strangers to the call of the wild. They shared a passion for adventures and creativity in nature and a passion for creating stories.

That Antarctic project sparked a relationship where they saw an opportunity to create a new workflow to enhance the guest experience in the world’s most remote environments. Together, they founded Mosaic Studios with the mission to deliver world-class, immersive storytelling that allows people to truly connect with the adventure. 

At Mosaic Studios, they are introducing innovative workflows that revolutionize how content is created globally. By integrating cutting-edge technology and remote production capabilities, Stein and Matt are setting new standards for efficiency and creativity, enabling seamless collaboration no matter where the adventure takes place. The studio is committed to pushing the boundaries of storytelling, enhancing the adventure experience through powerful visual narratives that inspire connection with the world around us.
