description
In 2022, Stein Retzlaff worked as a camera operator and DIT specialist on BBC’s Life Below Zero, filming the DeWilde family’s first-ever family moose hunt in the remote Alaskan village of Huslia. Over 3.5 weeks, Stein worked with the team to capture footage of the family navigating the rugged Alaskan landscape, hunting in harsh conditions, and managing digital assets in extreme weather while supporting the team in one of the world’s most isolated environments.
The project aired on BBC and National Geographic, offering an intimate look at the DeWilde family’s bond with the land, blending adventure with the raw beauty of Alaska’s wilderness.
