description

In December 2020, Stein joined Jon Rose, the founder of Waves For Water, on a disaster relief mission to Guatemala following the devastating impact of Hurricane Iota, a category 5 storm that displaced over 300,000 people and affected 1.7 million. The hurricane destroyed 79,000 homes, leaving communities in desperate need of clean water and shelter. Despite the ongoing pandemic, Stein and Erich Roepke joined Jon’s team and supported Waves For Water’s mission while adhering to safety guidelines, focusing on providing clean water solutions to those most in need.

Stein served as the cinematographer and editor for the project, capturing the mission’s progress and working closely with Jon and the Waves For Water team to support their relief efforts in these affected communities. This project was an awakening experience for Stein that highlighted the essential role of clean water in our daily life and especially in disaster relief and recovery.
